Storyboard drawings vs final video
Girlfriend (2024)
Leading the way for the second half of the “Heartbreaker“ saga of 80s-style pop singles, “Girlfriend“ boasts a video with a clean, crisp, minimalist 80s aesthetic style.
Set in a white studio with various red items lending visual interest, the music video explores themes of passion and love in the conceptual abstract.
In preparation for the “Girlfriend“ music video, I spent roughly a month in pre-production: shot lists, storyboards, concepts, sourcing props, and ensuring the shoot ran smoothly.
“Girlfriend“ was completed in a five-hour shoot with frequent collaborator Kate Cassady working the camera.
Bad Boyfriend (2023)
My largest production to date, the shoot for “Bad Boyfriend“ involved ten people total— including cast and crew. As director and executive producer, I fielded managing all ten of us, getting all of the footage we needed within a six-hour time window
In order to execute the pastel 60s mod dream look of “Bad Boyfriend,“ extensive planning had to be done in multiple areas. This involved the designing of concepts, the meticulous planning of what would be shot and when and how, and how the entire day would flow.
