Heartbreaker
July 25, 2025
Beginning work in 2022, Swofford's third album leans into retro synth-pop and early-2010s indietronica. The album features fourteen tracks of catchy, computerized synth hooks echoing acts like Dayglow, Carly Rae Jepsen, and the 1975. The songs explore themes of fame, identity, and queer love through ironic melodrama and campy storytelling. The album was preceded by singles "Bad Boyfriend," "Oh No," "Plastic," "Can't Resist," "Girlfriend," and "Drive." Heartbreaker is accompanied by a six-episode satirical soap opera that weaves the music videos into an episodic narrative—available on digital, CD, and as a limited-edition DVD experience.
Kiss EP
August 9th, 2024
In May of 2024, Swofford asked his fans a silly question: “Artists don’t release enough music,“ he said, “what if I just released 3 EPs this summer?“ his fans responded with enthusiasm, and so Swofford got to work. And he delivered: before May was out, a remix EP of his song “Girlfriend,“ by the end of June, a selection of unreleased cuts from “Friendly Skies.“ Kiss EP was the culmination of that 3-EP summer, a fully original project full of 80s-inspired tracks full of sparkle and heart. A concept EP, Kiss tells the story of a budding romance across four retro pop gems: from an initial crush, to early dates, to the first… well… kiss, to real, sincere commitment.
Ulterior Motives
June 25, 2023
In Summer 2023, I stumbled upon a Shaiivalley video essay about a song believed to be lost. Since identified in Spring 2024 as "Ulterior Motives" by Christopher Saint Booth and Phillip Adrian Booth, only a 17-second clip was known to exist at the time. With 1980s synth-pop being one of my favorite genres, I created a speculative reconstruction of the song in a few hours as a songwriting exercise, placing the snippet as the end of a pre-chorus and the start of a chorus. The story of the search for "Ulterior Motives" is a testament to the power of the internet's collective fervor, and I will forever remember witnessing that crescendo: from the spread of the mystery to the fan theories, to the amusing discovery of the song's true, salacious origins. Thank you all for your support, and thank you to Christopher Saint Booth for being so helpful in the process of getting this interpolation licensed.

FRIENDLY SKIES
JUNE 10, 2022
Beginning Work in August 2020, Swofford’s second album takes heavy influence from early-2010s synthpop and indietronica. The album features a computerized and spacey synthesized sonic palate. The songs, mostly written between 2020 and 2021, represent the duality of isolation as something beautiful and agonous. The album was preceded by singles “Get With Me,“ “I Don’t Remember Anymore,“ “Get Real,” “Be Somebody,” and “Let it Ring.” (Read More)
BEDFORD MALL
July 24, 2020
Written over the course of the Spring 2020 lockdowns and released in July, Swofford’s debut album Bedford Mall is an inspired work of experimental synthpop, blending an 80s sonic palate with a conceptual mall theme, daringly blending vaporwave and pop. The album was preceded by singles “Pop Theatre“ and “ILOVEYOU,“ and followed by singles “Aquaplex,“ “$19.99,“ and “Going Up.“ (Read More)
