Retro Style, Future Sound
Platinum Pop
Self-produced since the age of seventeen, Swofford handles all aspects of music production himself: he writes, produces, sings, mixes, and meticulously masters each and every track to pitch-perfection in his very own bedroom.
Swofford’s music features driving drum beats, bouncy basslines, rhythmic guitars, and 80s synths. His sound takes inspiration from new-wave pop of the 1980s and feel-good indie pop of the 2010s, spinning these retro sounds into something brand new… and always catchy.
A world all by design
More than just a musician, Swofford is an all-around artist: a painter, a photographer, a director, a writer, and a content creator. In creating a world for his music, Swofford employs all of these art forms to create his own conceptual, immersive world, where every detail is meticulously crafted to add to the story. His carefully constructed yet lively retro aesthetic is the perfect companion to his music.
Swofford’s main series, Late-Nite TV, is an exercise in unconventional storytelling: a blend of sitcom satire, postmodern ironic humor, and retro aesthetics which creates surreal, dreamlike videos that have generated viral intrigue and a dedicated following on platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
As a performing artist, Swofford has performed nationally, from Minneapolis to Branson. He puts on an engaging pop show, performing all of his best songs to a self-produced, colorfully kaleidoscopic visual show.
Representative of everything pop videos should be, Swofford’s music videos are as catchy as the songs themselves, featuring self-directed visuals chock full of color and fashion set to engaging narratives, coated in a retro pastiche that makes each frame a delight.
Beyond his own art, Swofford has worked with other talents to craft timeless pop, writing cooperatively to bring their visions to life and producing, mixing, and mastering to a radio-ready standard.
