adrenaline

The sixth single from Swofford’s sophomore album friendly skies, “Adrenaline“ is a futuristic, stomping dance song about anxiety, with a gritty, pulsating techno beat.

friendly skies

Beginning Work in August 2020, Swofford’s second album takes heavy influence from early-2010s synthpop and indietronica. The album features a computerized and spacey synthesized sonic palate. The songs, mostly written between 2020 and 2021, represent the duality of isolation as something beautiful and agonous. The album was preceded by singles “Get With Me,“ “I Don’t Remember Anymore,“ “Get Real,” “Be Somebody,” and “Let it Ring.”

let it ring

A wistful ballad about an unrequited affection, “Let it Ring” tells a tale of two who drift apart. Swofford’s vocals mourn over an electric instrumental of bouncy piano, funky guitars, and sentimental strings in the fifth single from Friendly Skies.
